Laser Cutting

DMP’s Bystronic laser features a rotary axis for the accurate and efficient cutting of round, rectangular, and square tubing. It also has an automatic sheet loader and a shuttle table for the effective handling of sheet stock.

The laser cutter allows us to fabricate a prototype or small quantity production run economically and quickly since there is no need for tooling or complicated set-ups. Certain larger production runs may be better suited to the laser as well. Unique advantages of this laser cutter include the following: no tooling costs, no need for deburring or grinding, optimum utilization of material in layouts, multi-tasking off line programming and the ability to convert metric to decimal and vice-versa.

To cut and engrave, the Bystronic CNC cutter uses a focused laser beam. The beam can cut within critical dimensions of +/- .005" (.002" for hole dimensions). This provides a great deal of flexibility in the most intricate contouring. The Bystronic laser cutter can cut holes, polygons, arcs and designs to replicate any part of a drawing. A variety of fonts are available for engraving alphanumeric figures. Materials worked include, but are not limited to: cold and hot rolled steel, aluminum, Inconel, stainless steel, and pre-plated materials.
